Stewardship 2026

Plenty Good Room - Stewardship at St. John's - 2026 Campaign

July 19th marked the beginning of our Stewardship Campaign for this year. We will wrap up on Sunday, October 25th. Our campaign chairperson is Bev Patchin who introduced the theme "Plenty Good Room" to the congregation at our Sunday service on July 19th.

Drawing on the spiritual hymn "Plenty Good Room", we are celebrating because there is plenty good room at God's table for each of us and room for more. So draw up a chair and sit down.

Everything we have comes from God and how we take care of those gifts is called "stewardship" -- and what exactly is that? It is about relationships: those within our church community and with the outside community, as well. It is about generosity, thankfulness, and gratitude. We take care of God's gifts by using our time, our talents, and our treasure.

Do you have a little TIME to give back to God and this church in gratitude for what He has given you? We have many ministries at St. John's that are dependent on the time of parishioners. What is your TALENT -- we all have gifts that can be used to contribute to our ministries in many different ways. Later we will consider our TREASURES and how we can pledge financial support to sustain St. John's.

Throughout the pledge campaign, we will have a box and paper slips by the Chapel entrance so that we can collect our "thanksgivings" for what God has given to us. We will sing the hymn "Plenty Good Room". We will think about our relationships, our thankfulness, our gratitude for God's gifts to us. So please, join us, draw up a chair at God's table and sit down.
