The Bylaws of St. John's Church outline our purpose and principles
Our Purpose:
We exist to glorify God our Father, by growing through the power of the Holy Spirit in the likeness of Jesus, His Son; by faithful obedience to His word; by proclaiming the Gospel to all people; and by serving one another and our community in truth and love.
Our Principles:
The Great Commandment: “Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord our God with all your heart, soul, mind and might. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.’” (Matthew 22:36-40)The Great Commission: “Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.’” (Matthew 28:19-20)
