Music
Angela Dwyer (choirs) and Eric Warner (organist)

The choirs at St John's bring beauty and awe to our worship services.

Under the leadership of Angela Dwyer, the Vocal Choir sings every Sunday Morning at 9:00 AM and also for all Solemn Eucharists such as Easter and Christmas.

They meet in the main church nave at 4:30 PM every Thursday for rehearsal and at 8:30 AM to 8:45 AM on Sunday mornings in the Chapel to rehearse and vest for our Choral Eucharist.

In 2008, a Bell Choir formed using the hand bells donated by Ms. Laura Russell in memory of her daughter Donna Russell. The St. John’s Bell Choir has thirteen members and performs on occasion at Sunday Choral Eucharist as well as at special church and community functions. Their director is Angela Dwyer.

We are blessed to have an organ which was installed in the late 1960’s as a part of an improvement program as a memorial to Albert P. Newell. Its carved case work matches the esthetics of the church. It contains electro pneumatic actions and other updates that were just completed in 2002.  At the front of the nave, we also have a grand piano.  Eric Warner is our organist and pianist.  He also lends his keyboard and vocal talents to our Thursday Healing Mass.
